Which one did you have up. I noticed people had said that these had disappeared so I uploaded copies to replace them.

"Who Killed Doc Robbin?" is completely public domain I don't think there would have been anyone who would have put a claim in on that.

With "Jail Bait" there is another version I recently found out about (called the "Director's Cut") which has a striptease instead of a minstral show. The director's cut is claimed by Wade Williams. The version I put up probably is too, problem is the original version has no copyright, while the directors cut does have a probable derivative work copyright.

That would be a shame because the stuff you were putting up was pretty cool. I made a lot of dvds out of it. On the other hand, I understand how you would feel. The Archive needs to get back to where it was and start taking care of business again and start treating the patrons right. I think fewer people are coming to this site because it's just too hard to sift through all the crap in Open Source to find the files they want. This has been going on too long. The files need to start moving on a regular basis. There used to be a lot of buzz here about that but now, other than what I just said, no one is saying much. I think the reason for that is that a lot of people that visited here are sick and tired of the stagnation and have given up on the site. It's too bad.

I agree--they need to take care of this place again and run it right. Who knows, but if Google took over the IA, I wouldn't mind, even though I dislike Google. Anything is better than this chaos!

Well, I'll tell you this. I still intend to upload as much material as I can. You might ask me why I would bother as irritated with the management as I am. My main reason for doing it is to SHARE this material with those that might enjoy this stuff even if the people who visit this site are becoming more few and far between. I'm at the point where I think I care about this site and it's potential more than management does. When I upload movies, trailers, commercials, or clips of farm and zoo animals doing the nasty, I'm not doing it to gratify the staff, I'm doing it to make available something to look at and enjoy to the visitors here. Praise it or pan it, there it is. I'm not crazy about big companies like Google, but you may be right. This site needs to get a tranfusion from somewhere.

If you read my post from last night over in Classic TV, you'll see that I'm working on transferring from VHS and uploading something rather rare and unique that I haven't seen anywhere on DVD or online, so I'm not giving up either.

Right after I posted that, I went back over to the Classic TV forum and saw your reply.

I certainly hope you don't go away. Consider a hiatus.

It could have been mistaken for something that was in copyright. Otherwise I don't know why it would have been taken down. Its a shame because the film is completely in the public domain. I noticed that it had been marked as removed on the Old House mysteries thread.
